"We’re a firm who handles sophisticated work and is dedicated to cultivating a new crop of lawyers. Despite the level of sophistication of our typical work, new attorneys get real experience here that just isn’t available at most comparable firms."

Each summer associate is assigned an individual writing coach. The purpose of the Writing Coach Program is to help the summer associate further develop his/her writing skills outside of the academic realm and to assist the firm in evaluating writing and analytical abilities. Each writing coach reads and completes a written evaluation of each written project and provides direct feedback to the summer associate. Areas that are critiqued and discussed include: content, form, writing style, analysis and organization.

Each summer associate also is assigned two mentors, a Member Mentor and an Associate Mentor.  The primary responsibility of the mentors is to ensure that summer associates do well both substantively and socially in the program.  The mentors act as the liaison between other attorneys in the firm and act as a host in and about Nashville.
