What is the compensation for associates at Boult?
The compensation, bonus opportunities and benefits package for Boult Cummings Associate attorneys is very competitive with other Nashville-based firms and comparable with law firms throughout the region.  In addition, associates are eligible for annual, year-end bonuses based on their overall contribution to the firm in the previous year.

What is the current first-year associate starting salary?
The current salary for first-year associates is $100,000 per year.

What is your office dress code?
Boult Cummings has adopted a 'business casual' dress code year-round. Attorneys may need to alter their dress when meeting with clients or going to court.

What is the track to making partner?
An associate is eligible for partnership after eight years at the firm.  Lateral attorneys are treated on a case-by-case basis.  The firm has a two-tiered partnership track.

What is the firm's billable hour requirement?
The expectation for the first two years is 1800-2000 hours.

What does Boult Cummings' pay for in connection with taking the bar?
The firm pays for a "live format" nationally recognized bar review course, the bar exam fee, and bar admission fee.

Does the firm pay bar membership dues?
Boult Cummings will pay for both the Tennessee Bar Association dues and the Nashville Bar Association dues.

Will Boult Cummings pay for training courses and seminars?
The firm pays for all Continuing Legal Education dues, with prior approval by the Section Leader.

Will the firm pay for relocation expenses?
You will be reimbursed for moving expenses up to $2,500, consistent with Internal Revenue Services regulations.  This benefit is applicable to those individuals moving from out-of-town.

How much vacation time does Boult Cummings offer?
Fifteen (15) days of paid vacation.
