Labor and Employment

Boult Cummings Labor and Employment attorneys work proactively to protect our clients' business interests in this ever-changing legal landscape. Our experience includes traditional labor relations, employment discrimination defense work and counseling businesses on state and federal employment laws. Our clients include union and non-union companies, as well as public and privately held businesses ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small, locally owned businesses operating in a wide range of industries.

Our attorneys handle the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, the arbitration of labor disputes, the defense of unfair labor practice charges and litigation involving employment and personnel-related issues. We also provide ongoing employee relations advice and help clients avoid union organizing efforts.

Additionally, we have experience in all types of proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and in defending employers in age, race, sex, religious, national origin and disability discrimination charges before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other federal and state agencies and courts. We also help clients manage their substance abuse programs, workers’ compensation issues, affirmative action and contract compliance programs, and assist them in responding to wage and hour audits and compliance issues.
