Jay Hardcastle advises hospitals, surgery centers, physicians, long-term care providers, imaging centers and other participants in the health care industry in connection with joint venture formation, general regulatory issues, and the purchase and sale of health care facilities.  Jay also focuses on drafting contracts for providers and physicians, advising clients on Medicare and Medicaid issues, assistance in the defense of whistleblower claims and advising tax-exempt entities in the health care area.

He is a past chairman of the Tennessee Bar Association Health Law Section and of the Nashville Bar Association Health Law Committee. Jay is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Nashville Bar Association (Past Chair, Health Law Committee), Tennessee Bar Association (Past Chair, Health Law Section) and the American Bar Association (Health Law Section). Jay serves on the Board of Directors for the Nashville Symphony and Friends of Radnor Lake.  Over the years, Jay has been recognized many times for his health care practice in The Best Lawyers in America® 2008  and Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business 2008.  He also was named to the Nashville Business Journal's   "Health Care Heroes 2008", "Best of the Bar" 2007, and "Health Care 100" in 2006; the Expert Guide  to the "Leading US Healthcare Lawyers"; Mid-South Super Lawyers 2008; and the Lawdragon 3000.
