Jay Cloud concentrates his practice primarily in estate planning, estate administration and tax exempt organizations.  Jay has significant experience in providing individuals and families with sound and creative advice in structuring their estate plans to meet their specific needs and goals and to minimize taxes.  He advises and assists personal representatives of estates through the probate and estate administration process, including the preparation of federal estate and state inheritance tax returns.

Jay also has a considerable background in tax-exempt organizations and partnerships.

Jay received a master's degree (LL.M.) in taxation from the University of Florida in 1998.  He received his law degree from the University of Arkansas in 1994 (with honors). He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1991 with a B.A. in Political Science. Jay is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association Estate Planning Section Executive Committee and the Middle Tennesse Estate Planning Council. He also serves on the board of directors for Senior Citizens, Inc. (d/b/a FiftyForward) and The Children's House of Nashville, Inc.
