Martindale-Hubbell® BV Peer Review Rated

Craig Oliver's practice focuses on labor relations and employment law on behalf of management.  He has significant experience in labor relations and union activity issues, Title VII and other employment discrimination litigation, FMLA litigation, trade secrets and non-competition issues, wage and hour laws, alternative dispute resolution and providing general day-to-day advice to employers. Craig's recent experience includes assisting clients in union campaigns, representation and decertification elections and collective bargaining negotiations in six states; opposing and pursuing claims of unfair competition on behalf of companies; and obtaining dismissals of lawsuits alleging race discrimination, gender discrimination, retaliatory discharge and violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act and wage and hour laws.

In addition to his litigation and alternative dispute resolution practice, Craig regularly works with our clients in resolving day-to-day employment and operational issues, assisting in management training programs and drafting policies and procedures for employers.

Craig is a frequent speaker on issues relating to the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and workers' compensation.  Some of Craig's recent seminar topics include "Privacy in the Workplace"; "Anatomy of a Discrimination Lawsuit"; and "Developments in FMLA Compliance and the Overlap of ADA, FMLA, and Workers' Compensation."

Craig is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations. He is included in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business 2008  for his labor and employment practice.
